Nicole Kidman is joining forces with Mimi Cave in a return to Amazon Studios for the thriller Holland, Michigan.

The script by Andrew Sodroski, writer of Discovery's Manhunt, was number one on the infamous Black List in 2013. The project follows the secrets lurking beneath a Midwestern town with a Hitcockian twist (via Deadline).

Not only will Kidman be starring, but she will also be producing. She received a lot of praise for her performance as Lucille Ball in Amazon Studio's Being the Ricardos, which earned her a Golden Globe win, Academy Award and Screen Actors Guild nomination.

Being the Ricardos was also a major success for Amazon, hitting No.1 on Prime Video on its opening weekend and was amongst the highest debuts of any movie drama release.

2021 was also a big year for Cave, who shot into fame with the comedy-horror-thriller Fresh, starring Sebastian Stan and Daisy Edger-Jones. Searchlight Pictures picked it up following its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.

Kidman has also been on a roll, starring in Nine Perfect Strangers, released on Hulu in the US and Amazon in the UK. She also starred in Robert Eggers' Shakespearean Viking epic The Northman, and we will be seeing her return as Atlanna in the DC sequel Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Elsewhere, we had our first look at Kidman as part of a new Apple TV+ anthology series, Roar, where she will be playing the role of a woman with a very strange habit. The actress will also be starring in and producing the drama series Expats.

Last month, she was also announced to be reuniting her The Paperboy co-star, Zac Efron, for an untitled romantic comedy on Netflix.
