Nicki Minaj's attempt to pronounce the word "Salford" has sparked joy across the internet this morning.

And guess what? We have TikTok to thank for it. As well as being great for watching celebrities do viral challenges (Lizzo eating watermelon with mustard, anyone?), it's also perfect for unearthing hidden gems, like this hilarious pre-pandemic clip from Nicki's world tour back in 2019.

Posted by the TikTok user, @jOsephharrison, the video has had a serious impact already, with over 700k views and 100k likes.

The video shows Nicki performing to a crowd in Manchester, asking, "Did you know I was born in Manchester?" in an, erm, cockney accent. Not too far off, Nicki.

She continued, "But if I was from Manchester, I don't know exactly where I would be from.."

Cue screams of "Salford!" from the audience.

Anyone else feel a meme coming on?

Nicki can then be seen bending down and trying to understand what her fans are saying to her. She has a few guesses, saying,"South?, Sloth? Sol?"

I mean, not bad? Keep doing you, Nicki.
