Nicki Minaj is opening up about the realities of giving birth and breastfeeding, almost three months since she delivered her first son. While we're still yet to find out the name of the baby, the 38-year-old has no problem telling fans about what to expect when they're expecting.

In a more-than-honest account (because why would we expect any less from Nicki?), the rapper took to Twitter to do a fan Q+A - and a LOT of the questions were surrounding her labour experience.

Speaking about the night her waters broke, she answered a question about whether she was at home, simply by saying, "Yes. I was butt naked. Just got out the shower and I asked him [Kenneth] to rub my back."

"As soon as I started scooting over to him in the bed I just felt the water start coming out,' she continued. "I was weirdly calm and I quietly said, 'omg, I’m about to be in labour'. ‘He was very scared & I was laughing @ him."

Following on from that, she was more than happy to share the details of when the time came to *actually* give birth, sharing a super-empowering story.

"Yes, natural vaginal birth w/epidural," she replied to one user who asked about how she did it. "I pushed for 2 1/2 hours. Only b/c first the epidural didn’t wear off enough for me to feel myself pushing. Once I was able to feel the pain I pushed him on out."

"Well I was actually in labour all night but all they did was let me sleep until I dilated far enough to push."

"The epidural didn’t hurt either. They numbed me up real good. So I took my a** right to sleep."

Nicki, who currently only refers to the tot as 'Papa Bear', has already announced that she'll be dropping hints of his name in her new music soon.

And as he slowly grows into his new we-wish-we-were-this-rich lifestyle, Mum Nicki is getting candid about the reality of living with a child - including breastfeeding.

Answering a fan who asked about her breastfeeding experience, she responded, "He had no problem breastfeeding, he latched on in the hospital which was very surprising to me. I was afraid maybe he wouldn’t.

"But breastfeeding is very painful. Pumping is too. Women make this stuff look way too easy. Mums r really superheroes."

The 'Super Bass' singer welcomed the baby with husband Kenneth Petty back in September.

We haven't yet had a glimpse of his face, but Nicki shared an adorable snap of his tiny foot to celebrate her wedding anniversary.

Cannot. Deal.
