Nicki Minaj And Boris Johnson Are Locked In The Most Unexpected Celeb Feud Of 2021

Prepare yourself for the latest news you never thought would happen: Nicki Minaj is having a spat with Boris Johnson. Yes, you read that right - the Prime Minister and the rapper are having it out over the Covid-19 vaccine.

It all began when Nicki tweeted that she wanted to do her own research before getting the vaccine, and followed up with a tweet claiming her cousin became impotent after getting jabbed (which isn’t listed as a potential side effect on the NHS website).

She also expressed worry that Drake had caught the virus, despite being vaccinated.

The ball was in the PM’s court and he clapped back earlier this week, referencing Nicki’s tweets in a coronavirus briefing.

‘I’m not as familiar with the works of Nicki Minaj as I probably should be,’ Johnson said, ‘but I am familiar with the work of [Dr] Nikki Kanani, who is a superstar GP of Bexley who will tell you that vaccines are wonderful and everybody should get them, so I would prefer to listen to her.’

Nicki responded by posting a voice note on Twitter, in which she trolls Boris by putting on a British accent, claims to have gone to school with Margaret Thatcher and promises to send over a portfolio of her work.

It’s since gone viral, with over 7,000 retweets and most people are… well, confused. ‘Do you ever just stop and think that maybe we all are actually living through some sort of dream sequence?’ one Twitter user said.

The PM’s team have been firmly in his corner, with Chris Whitty saying that Nicki ‘should be ashamed’ and Sajid Javid blasting her tweets as ‘ridiculous’.

As for Nicki, she’s shared a tweet with the caption, ‘Thinking about the bars Nicki will spit about this', so perhaps we can hope for a reference to Boris on her next album. Well, no one can say 2021 isn’t stranger than fiction…
