2020 has been a big year for celebrity babies, from Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas to Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik, and now Nicki Minaj has announced that she is expecting her first child with a post on Instagram.

The 37-year old rapper posted a picture today showing her in an embellished floral bikini with bright yellow hair clutching a growing bump, alongside the caption, "#Preggers 💛".

A few minutes later, she followed up the post with another picture of her clutching her bump while wearing an ruffled bikini top and tasseled bikini bottoms along with gigantic heels, that most of us couldn't walk in even if we weren't pregnant.

A third post of the pregnancy shoot was captioned, "Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes. 💛"

While Nicki hasn't mentioned the father of her baby in the posts (the second post came without a caption), she married Kenneth 'Zoo' Petty, back in October 2019, after less than a year of dating.

After revealing the relationship in a PDA heavy post in 2018 on her 36th birthday, it was revealed that the pair actually knew each other as teenagers and sparked up a relationship years later after reuniting while Nicki was home in Queens, NY for Thanksgiving 2018.

Nicki's post announcing her pregnancy has already been met with a lot of supportive comments from famous friends including Sam Smith and Halle Berry, and has gained almost 3 million likes in under an hour.
