NEWS OF THE WEEK: Taylor Swift's 'Midnights' moves a million units in 3 days

'Variety' reports that Swift's 10th studio album has become the first in five years to hit the million-unit mark in a week. However, she did it in only three days. The last album to complete such a feat was Swift's 2017 album, 'Reputation'. According to Luminate, 'Midnights' registered 1.2 million units for the weekend of Oct. 21-Oct. 23. Surprisingly, almost half of those units were made up of vinyl sales. That's the biggest sales week for a vinyl record since Luminate's predecessors started tracking such numbers in 1991.
