If there's one thing we probably need more of in our lives right now considering the current climate, it's cheesy, completely unbelievable but incredibly heartwarming romcoms. Yep, we've exhausted pretty much all the true crime docs, psychological thrillers and horror series Netflix has to offer, so Holidate really couldn't have come at a better time.

The premise? "Sloane (Emma Roberts) and Jackson (Luke Bracey) hate the holidays. They constantly find themselves single, sitting at the kids table, or stuck with awkward dates. But when these two strangers meet one particularly bad Christmas, they make a pact to be each other’s 'holidate' for every festive occasion throughout the next year."

We could add the rest of the synopsis, but you can probably guess what happens next. But, as predictable as Holidate is, we couldn't help fall a little bit in love with this feel-good film. And, judging by Twitter, it looks like we're not the only ones...

And also lots of love for Emma as newly single Sloane:
