Completely obsessed with Fate: The Winx Saga? Then you'll be pleased to know Netflix just announced it's going to be returning for a second season. Production on the part fantasy, part high-school drama starts later this year in Ireland, so prepare yourselves for more magic landing on the streaming platform very soon. Here's everything we know so far about Fate: The Winx Saga season 2...
What will Fate: The Winx Saga season 2 be about?
We don't yet have a huge amount of info on the follow-up season, but we do know it's going to have eight episodes instead of six (more eps = more drama). This season will delve much deeper into the stories of Aisha, Stella, Terra, and Musa as they learn to master their powers while navigating love, rivalries... and monsters. It also sounds like we're going to be seeing some brand new faces at Alfea, their magical boarding school.
“The six episodes in season one only scratched the surface of this incredibly rich world and the powerful fairies who inhabit it," showrunner and Vampire Diaries creator Brian Young said. "As Bloom's story continues to evolve, I can't wait for you to learn even more about Aisha, Stella, Terra, and Musa! And you never know who might show up at Alfea next term…”
Who's going to be starring in Fate: The Winx Saga season 2?
All the Fate: The Winx Saga fairies will reprise their roles. So that's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star Abigail Cowen as Bloom, Hannah van der Westhuysen as Stella, The Stranger star Precious Mustapha as Aisha, Eliot Salt as Terra and Elisha Applebaum as Musa. A number of new faces will also be joining the new season, with names to be announced at a later date.
Is there a trailer for Fate: The Winx Saga season 2 yet?
We don't have a trailer yet but Netflix did release an eery season 2 teaser, which you can check out right here:
Do we have a Fate: The Winx Saga season 2 release date yet?
We know filming is going to start at some point later this year, so fingers crossed the second season should be dropping some time in early to mid 2022.
