We love it when Netflix drops an existing film or series that ends up blowing up and experiencing major success the second time around. Most recently, the obscure 2019 thriller I See You has been taking all of the attention, and while fans can't get enough of it, they're all making the same complaint - that they literally can't sleep after watching it.

(In terms of a horror checklist though, this is of major importance, so the makers of the movie have smashed it really.)

For some context, it follows Greg Harper, a small-town detective as he looks into the case of ten-year-old Justin Whitter, who has been abducted by an unknown force. However, strange occurrences begin to plague the town when Greg finds a malicious presence in his own home.

But despite it starring Golden Globe, Academy Award and Emmy-winning actor, Helen Hunt, for some reason, the film slipped under the radar when it was first released.

Fast forward four years, and Twitter is swarming with commentary about the hour-and-a-half-long movie - some warning people not to watch it at night, and others just generally revealing how shaken up they were after streaming it.

"I ended up watching I See You on Netflix and it was surprisingly scary and lots of twists and turns," one viewer typed, as another gave some of the plot away, writing: "This I See You movie on Netflix is creepy af. Just knowing someone else could be secretly living in your house is scary enough to think about lmao."

Further fans took to the social media platform to confirm the creepiness of the film, as someone else said: "Why TF am I watching #ISeeYounetflix this late at night I’m not gonna be able to sleep," as a fourth penned: "I watched I See You on Netflix last night and was spooked af the entire night."
