Stateless season one - Wednesday 8 July

Starring The Handmaid's Tale actress Yvonne Strahovski, this drama follows four strangers as they collide at an immigration detention centre in the Australian desert, "an airline hostess on the run from a dangerous cult, an Afghan refugee and his family fleeing persecution, a young father escaping a dead-end job and a bureaucrat running out of time to contain a national scandal".

The Old Guard - Friday 10 July

Starring Charlize Theron, a warrior named Andy leads a covert group of tight-knit mercenaries with a mysterious inability to die. The synopsis continues: "When the team is recruited to take on an emergency mission and their extraordinary abilities are suddenly exposed, it’s up to Andy and Nile, the newest soldier to join their ranks, to help the group eliminate the threat of those who seek to replicate and monetise their power by any means necessary."

Fatal Affair - Thursday 16 July

The synopsis for this Netflix original film read: "Ellie tries to mend her marriage with her husband Marcus after a brief encounter with an old friend, David, only to find that David is more dangerous and unstable than she'd realised." Sounds intriguing, right?

Cursed - Friday 17 July

Based on the novel, Cursed reimagines the Arthurian legend, focusing on Nimue, who is destined to become the Lady of the Lake. The synopsis reads: "After her mother's death, she finds an unexpected partner in Arthur, a young mercenary, in a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword. Over the course of her journey, Nimue will become a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying Red Paladins, and their complicit King Uther."

Father Soldier Son - Friday 17 July

This documentary follows a former platoon sergeant and his two young sons over almost a decade, as it chronicles his return home after suffering a serious combat injury in Afghanistan. Netflix official description reads: "Originating as part of a 2010 project on a battalion’s yearlong deployment, reporters-turned-filmmakers Catrin Einhorn and Leslye Davis stuck with the story to trace the longterm effects of military service on a family."
