Philadelphia 76ers shooting guard Danny Green made a 94-year-old Grandma’s day when he sent her a signed jersey with a personalized and heartfelt message that said, “Thank you for picking me, here’s to 95!”

News of the 94-year-old basketball fan first gained traction on March 14 when Twitter user Lili Gu shared a post that revealed her Grandma [Til] had spent the last year in isolation eagerly studying the NBA and making a list of her favourite players on each team — with 3x champ Danny Green being one of her newfound basketball heroes who made the cut.

After receiving the jersey, Gu shared a video of her Grandma receiving the gift from the three-time NBA champ. She demonstrated her knowledge of the game by breaking down the final seconds of the 76ers matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers on March 25, which resulted in Green knocking down a clutch three-pointer to seal the win for his team.

Green noticed the video and retweeted it with three heart emojis to show his love and appreciation as well.

With the NBA season still underway, Green has his eyes set on making another title run with the 76ers in hopes of capturing a fourth championship and potentially being the first to have a three-peat with three different teams.

For Raptors fans, the defensive specialist will always hold a special place in the organization as a part of the team's historical championship run in 2019 — the first title ever for the franchise.
