Naomi Campbell was listening to reggae legend Bob Marley during the arrival of her first child.

In a chat with DJ and music producer D-Nice on her No Filter With Naomi YouTube series, Campbell revealed music often accompanied the "special moments" in her life. And that included the recent birth of her daughter.

As the pair spoke about the importance of her heritage, she shared: "Music is like... In my most special moments, you know I just became a mum, I had Bob Marley playing. That's my roots, you know? It's my roots."

Campbell, whose mum was Jamaica-born, announced the surprise arrival of her baby girl last week, days before her 51st birthday, in a post on Instagram featuring a picture of her hand cupping a baby's feet.

"So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel," the caption read. There is no greater love."
