Nadiya Hussain shared a video of her new kitten Zeek and he is impossibly cute! The white and grey British short hair has been a comfort to Nadiya, who revealed she is feeling a little apprehensive about lockdown easing.

The baker told fans and followers in the short Instagram clip: "Okay, as you can see I have a new cat. I'm not saying get yourself a cat to distract yourself but it does help, because he's very cute. I've been really quiet on here, mostly because I've not been feeling fantastic. But he's been a nice distraction."

She went on to explain why she's been feeling off, saying: "With lockdown easing, it's a little bit... I don't know about you guys, but lots of people are really excited about lockdown easing, I don't know how I feel. I don't know that I feel really excited about lockdown easing."

Lots of people are experiencing some anxiety around lockdown easing, whether it's to do with fears around the virus or nervousness about re-entering society. And that's perfectly ok.

As Nadiya goes on to say: "For those of you enjoying lockdown easing, enjoy it. Some of us are going to take our time."

It's ok to feel however you feel about it.

Nadiya also said that the arrival of Ramadan is helping; the 9th month in the Islamic calendar, dedicated to fasting, prayer, reflection and community work.

She told followers: "It does help that we have Ramadan this month, so I've got that focus, and that's what I'm enjoying right now. So I'm going to take the time to focus on Ramadan, enjoy the new cat try and get the two cats to like each other; kind of getting there."

We're glad to hear Nadiya is feeling a bit better and has plenty to be getting on with at a time of mixed emotions.

As she says: "I'm not saying that you always need a distraction but it helps to have one."
