My New York Fashion Week Diary by Harper Beckham, Age 5 Years and 7 Months

I love New York, I mean who doesn’t? I’m here for a very special event: my mummy, (that’s Victoria Beckham to you all) has a fashion show on Sunday. But before all the fashion stuff, I get to hang out with my daddy and my three big brothers, and we go to all my favorite places. This is what I got up to this weekend. It’s exhausting being 5 years and 7 months sometimes, adults always try and pack so much in!

To start, I asked my brother Cruz to get me a big ice lolly, but not sure what he was doing with this big ice block? I can’t eat all that and it doesn’t have any flavor!

Daddy took us to the Natural History Museum whilst mummy was working.

Daddy is such a tourist sometimes!

I got to go see the butterfly room and I think the big blue ones in there scared daddy a little! I think I want some butterflies as pets, is that possible you think?

My sweater looks good, glad mummy said I can have it. I heard ruffles are very in right now. All the grown-ups are wearing it.

We then went for pizza where my brother Cruz tried to make his own… not sure if he’s any good at it, but bless him for trying.

I think Brooklyn thinks he’s really cool, he went to ‘hang’ with someone called Alex Wang in Harlem and he wore different shoes! I tried to help him, but he just wouldn’t listen. At least he wore the pink hoodie, I like pink.

Sunday is what the grown-ups call show time! It’s cold and it’s raining, a little like London. Well, it’s a good thing I packed my Gucci boots, nothing worse than cold feet! I decided bring my small Goyard bag with me, I have all my sweets in there, just in case the show starts late. I may be small but this is not my first fashion show, I know how these things work!

I think Brooklyn stole daddy’s hat. He is so into himself lately, he keeps saying it’s the Brooklyn look?!

Thank god we know the management at mummy’s show, and got a seat up front,next to this lady we see every time we come here. She’s always in sunglasses and mummy says she’s very chic… I wonder if she can get me some butterflies?

Mummy said her clothes are “the attitude of freedom, of confidence and power. And they are for reality and for a real women’s life.” I think that means she will buy everything from herself.

I like mummy’s dresses but there were a lot of pants, too. I think mummy liked daddy’s clothes more so she made these so she doesn’t have to borrow his trousers. Funny, I wonder why daddy never wears mummy’s clothes?! I must ask them at lunch when we go to Balthazar. Bye!
