Mum slammed for buying 'spoilt' kids 'hundreds' of Christmas presents – but fights back
A mum who was dubbed "ridiculous" for the sheer amount of Christmas presents she buys her children has fought back.
The festive season is nearly upon us, and Christmas shopping is no doubt in full swing – particularly for those with young kids. However, struggling parents and guardians may find it harder to give their children exactly what they want at this time of year.
The same cannot be said for mum Amanda, who loves spoiling her sons, five and 20, and her three-year-old daughter. She and her partner spend hours wrapping gifts so that on Christmas morning, all the gifts are on display in their grand living room.

Showing off her haul from last year on social media, the mum said: "Let's normalise spending whatever we want on our kids with our own money and not judging other parents for how they celebrate with their kids."
In order to be ready for the big day, Amanda has already begun wrapping Christmas presents for this year. Amanda shared video clips of the present display on TikTok, and while she has gone viral, many have jumped to criticise.
One individual said: "That is crazy! This really shows that people have lost what the meaning of Christmas is about. It's definitely not this."
"That's absolutely insane," observed another. "That's beyond ridiculous," commented one other. Another brutally said: "They think they can have everything. These kind of kids are not loved. Parents buy their happiness and love. Sad."
"There is nothing magical about this, absolutely ridiculous," wrote another. "It screams overconsumption," added one others.
Others dream of a Christmas like Amanda's children have. One said: "I miss being a child." "I wish I could afford Christmas presents this year," said another.
One other pointed out: "I know some families that do this and they buy for Christmas through the whole year, starting in January, so they can do this while budgeting." "I will get to do something like this for my kids one day, I just need to push a little more," added one other.
"This is amazing," said one other.
Amanda added: "There is not a right way, one size fits all. But, our way is not an inclusive wrong way and it has been right for our family." She noted that she donates her children's old toys or items they no longer want with the less fortunate.
She also says her "heart goes out" to those who are struggling to afford presents. The mum said: "It's been a challenging year for everybody, but I want to encourage some of you guys who are struggling. Think of the age of your kids...and I want to encourage you guys to get creative."
"It gets a little harder to come up with some ideas for the older kiddos but it's doable," she added. The mum said it is all about making less look more.
