Parents-to-be often devote countless hours to poring over baby books or browsing through websites to find the ideal name. Yet, for one expectant mother, the search was unnecessary as she has long been set on a name for her daughter.

Unfortunately, her husband isn't on board. Posting her dilemma on Reddit, she shared: "For years and years, I've dreamt of naming my future baby girl Blessica. I have been blessed enough to be pregnant with a baby girl and finally, my dreams are coming true. The only problem is, thanks to my husband, my last name is Blimpson."

Her husband is against the idea of calling their daughter Blessica, not just due to fears of potential bullying linked to the uniqueness of the name, but also because it seems too similar to that of celebrity Jessica Simpson. She added: "I really doubt that anyone Blessica's age would even know who Jessica Simpson is and I don't think this fear is worth not naming my baby the name I want to give her the most."

Seeking validation, the woman has reached out for the opinions of social media users, hoping that the jury of social media will prove her husband wrong and support her preferred choice of name. However, to her dismay, one user commented: "Blessica is bad and no child should be named that. Blessica Blimpson is objectively hilarious as a name. Sounds like a pseudonym that Jessica Simpson uses to check into a hotel."

Another user added: "Blessica sounds like a relentlessly self-righteous, mean girl. But Blessica Blimpson’s eating lunch alone in the bathroom and has an imaginary horse." A third user quipped: "With a last name like Blimpson, how could you *not* name your daughter Blessica?"

One more user added: "I love how they think their child will be bullied because of the last name and not the ridiculous first name Blessica. That poor girl..."
