New Movies Out Now in Theaters: What to See This Week

It’s not always easy to find out which movies are hitting theaters each week, especially as the Hollywood strikes led to many release date changes. With the WGA strike resolved and awards season heating up, there are more dramas and prestige productions in theaters for the next few months. November and December are also packed with family-friendly films and crowdpleasers for the holidays.

Relive one of the most iconic concerts of the summer by catching “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” in theaters this week. If you’re looking to get in the holiday spirit for the first week of December, check out limited releases of Eddie Murphy’s “Candy Cane Lane” and George Lopez’s “How the Gringo Stole Christmas.” For those looking for something darker, Anne Hathaway stars in “Eileen,” which is also having a limited release before premiering everywhere next week.
