If you've ever sung and danced your way through Baz Lurhmann's Moulin Rouge, you've probably (more than once) imagined yourself living it up in the heady bohemian world of 1900s Paris, every bit as glamorous as Nicole Kidman and as in love as Ewan McGregor. Well, now's your chance to live out the fantasy for real (aside from all the deadly Tuberculosis, that is) because for the first time ever the Moulin Rouge is available to book, and on Airbnb, no less.
Guests will stay in the secret room in the core of the famous windmill, in the most romantic 19th century French room we've ever seen. We're talking plush pink bedding, dried flowers hanging from the ceiling and sheets of poetry casually lying around. Stunning.
In classic Moulin Rouge fashion, guests are promised to be entertained throughout their stay with a private tour and backstage access to the theatre, the best seats in the house for the Moulin Rouge’s famous show, Féerie, and a traditional French three-course meal on the rooftop terrace.
This Belle Époque inspired boudoir will be available to rent on Airbnb for just €1 per night, for a total of three individual one-night stays on 13th, 20th and 27th June, with bookings opening at 6pm BST on 17 May. So, you better get in there quick.
