When April rolls around, it's a sign that spring is truly here. It might be the month of showers, but it's also often the start of some sunshine in the UK, as we distance ourselves from the short, dark days of winter.

If your spring baby is due in April, you're probably expecting its arrival pretty soon, so you could probably do with having a baby name lined up. For those who are still undecided, you may want to take some inspiration from names that are typically popular this time of year. So we've taken a look through the latest data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS), which gathers all the names given to children born each year in England and Wales, to find out the top names for baby boys and baby girls born in April 2019.
