What to put in your sandwich every day can be a head-scratcher for anybody, but for vegans it can be even more difficult.

Thankfully, supermarkets are really upping their game when it comes to catering for the UK's ever-growing number of vegetarians and vegans.

And now, Morrisons has solved a daily lunch box dilemma by becoming the first supermarket to launch a vegan version of tuna, which is one of Britain's top 10 most popular sandwich-fillers.

Introducing Loma Lindo Tuno: a soya-protein based product that has a flaky texture to mimic your typical tinned tuna filling.

The product is already going down a storm in the US and Australia, and is now hitting stores this week at Morrisons.

Not only is it high in protein, it's clean, sustainable, cruelty-free and less than 100 calories per serving. Ticking pretty much every box, then.

What's more, it comes in a number of different flavours, including Spring Water, Lemon Pepper, Mayo, Sesame & Ginger, and Thai Sweet Chilli. Yum.

Robert Wilson, Morrisons Tuna Buyer said:'We have listened to so many customers who want an easy alternative to tuna, that’s high in protein and can be used in much the same way. Tuno provides a convincing alternative for sandwiches, pasta and salads.'

We think it looks fab, and it's now top of our shopping fish wish-list.
