This Morning shock twist as Alison Hammond steps aside for Hollywood hunk's debut
This Morning will soon see a shake-up hit its format when Alison Hammond is replaced by a surprising Hollywood actor.
On Monday, 29th April’s episode of the hit ITV show, viewers will watch as the TV personality is replaced by Ryan Gosling as he takes up the role of interviewer and Alison becomes the interviewee.
In a teaser video uploaded to This Morning’s social media accounts, Ryan can be seen promoting his new film The Fall Guy alongside actress Emily Blunt before he takes control of the interview.
“The last time we did an interview, you took over and did the camera. Maybe you should interview me and Emily,” suggests Alison, 49.
Alison and Ryan’s latest interaction comes after the pair’s last interview in 2017 took the internet by storm. As Ryan discussed his film Blade Runner 2049, he was left in so much laughter that he needed to leave the set while his co-star Harrison Ford carried on.
Since being uploaded to YouTube six years ago, the video has amassed a whopping 18 million views.
It seems as though This Morning viewers are already looking forward to watching the pair’s newest interaction take place, with many flooding the account’s Instagram comments with positive messages.
“Can’t wait I have watched her interview with Ryan and Harrison a quite embarrassing number of times lol,” wrote one social media user.
“Alison is the best! Can’t wait to see this,” another added. “Absolutely love alison. this interview will b funny,” a third wrote.
The duo’s upcoming reunion comes after This Morning host Dermot O'Leary was left “mortified” when he threw a coffee bean into Alison’s mouth after being unaware of what it was.
During a cooking segment on Friday, 26th April’s show Demot asked Alison if she thought she would be able to catch some food in her mouth.
As she took up the challenge, Alison’s delight soon turned to disgust when she was left confused about one food item that she’d managed to catch in her mouth.
A confused looking Alison questioned with a grimace: “What is it?” to which it was explained that it was actually a chocolate covered coffee bean that she’d caught.
“Oh, it's horrible! Why would you even give me that?,” she asked.
“I didn't know what it was,” Dermot admitted. “I thought it was a raisin or something,” he explained.
“Oh gosh!” Alison exclaimed in response, as Dermot told her: “I am so sorry.”
