This Morning's official Instagram page told fans exactly what we all needed to know on Monday (10 August) to cope with this boiling weather, 'Hammond's Heatwave hacks'.

A video of TV star Alison Hammond from Monday's show was shared, showing her reveal some of her go-to hacks for hot weather, all of which can easily be copied with general household items. And, in this weather, we want to try all of them!

Speaking confidently in the clip, Alison told hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes: "I'm a genius in keeping you cool!"

All of her simple hacks sound like they're definitely worth a try, especially if the hot nights we've been having continue. We all want to enjoy the nice weather, and these hacks should hopefully help us cool down at night and appreciate the heat!

Alison Hammond's Heatwave Hacks

  • Putting water into a hot water bottle and freezing it to make a cold water bottle.

  • Filling a clean sock with rice and putting it in the freezer for 1-3 hours. When you take it out, the icy bean bag will mould to your body.

  • Filling a spritzer bottle with ice and water to make your own personal cooling spray.

  • Freezing a banana and then putting it in the blender to make banana ice cream, a healthy, cooling snack.

  • Putting a big bowl of ice in front of your fan, so the fan blows the cold air from the ice and cools the whole room.
