FULL TIME! MK Dons 4-1 Chelsea U21s
Pretty routine in the end as Dons simply overpower the young Chelsea side.
Dean with a couple, Leko with a goal and an assist, Dennis with one too.
No injuries, minutes in the tank, blooding some youngsters and a win in the bank. Good evening had.
90+5 mins: Ilunga to the rescue!
Harness gets himself in all sorts of trouble there, McNeilly beats the keeper to the ball on the edge of the box, should have put it away himself but the ball ricochets into the path of Castledine who should just put it home. The flag though goes up but Ilunga does brilliantly to block the shot on the line all the same!

79 mins: GOAL! Take a bow, Max!
A bit scrappy in the build-up again, Conor Grant tripping over as the ball comes his way, it bounces kindly into the path of Dean, but there was nothing scrappy about his finish as he bends it beautifully into the corner!
4-1
74 mins: Beach with a save
Good work from the Chelsea keeper to deny Dean’s effort from the edge of the box, pushing it away from the on-rushing Hunter to avert danger
72 mins: Anker comes on
Jonathan Leko, with a goal and an assist to his name, makes way for Anker.
70 mins: GOAL! Dean extends the lead
Leko at the heart of the move again, timing his pass brilliantly for Max Dean to fire past keeper Beach to make it 3-1.
Joel Anker waiting on the sidelines to come on now.
65 mins: Hunter gets a yellow
Giving the ball away cheaply in the centre of the park, Hunter turns and in his bid to win it back, slides in on Matos and earns himself a yellow card.
65 mins: Waller with the block
Matos slides Williams in on the overlap, he fires across goal but Charlie Waller, fresh on, does the business to block it behind for a Chelsea corner
64 mins: Over the bar
Good football from Chelsea but Castledine has blasted his strike over the bar from the edge of the box
61 mins: Here come the changes
Dean Lewington’s evening is done, he’s replaced by Charlie Waller.
Matt Dennis makes way for Max Dean.
Jack Tucker replaced Warren O’Hora.
60 mins: Devoy into the book
“One for the team” from Dawson Devoy there as he goes into the referee’s book.
Triple change being lined up for Dons, with Max Dean, Warren O’Hora and Charlie Waller prepared
58 mins: What a save!
Cracking save from Harness to deny Chelsea an immediate response from Leo Castledine, throwing himself into the way of his strike to keep Chelsea at bay.
55 mins: GOAL! Leko finally gets his goal
It’s a scrappy one to take the lead with but Leko won’t mind that. He sparked the move from half-way, slid in Scholtz to his right and his strike was saved, fell to Leko who gets two bites of the cherry to lift it home.
52 mins: Dons hemmed in
Dons have been slow out the traps in this second-half by Chelsea, who have started brightly.
That said, they’ve failed to cause Harness much issue early on, while Dennis has a burst from half-way and fires wide of the mark
Second half
Back underway at Stadium MK
HALF TIME: MK Dons 1-1 Chelsea U21s
It’s level, but Dons should be out of sight. Dennis opened the scoring before Morgan equalised, but Dons have squandered some great chances. Conor Grant has had three good ones, Leko should have a couple of goals but has seen Eddie Beach make saves, while Callum Tripp was a little unlucky with the two that more hit him than anything else.
Stoppage time

39 mins: Another chance for Dons
Dennis does brilliantly to turn and go, sliding in Leko but after cutting onto his left foot, is denied again by Beach in the Chelsea net.
34 mins: Leko fires across goal
More good football from Jonathan Leko sees him get into a dangerous spot, but he fires the ball across the face of goal, neither a shot nor a cross really, Ash Hunter can’t get on the end of it.
