Missoma has unveiled its 2020 advent calendar, proving that Christmas is on its merry way with or without the pandemic. The treasure box of jewellery sold out last year, prompting the label to create a new version for this festive season.
The brand teamed up with illustrator and creative director and founder of Silken Favours Vicki Murdoch to create a sleek, fuss-free take on the advent calendar. The brand wanted to design a box that shoppers could keep long after Christmas has ended, ignoring traditional red and green festive shades and classic yuletide motifs in favour of a simple navy shade and bold numbering.
The advent calendar will house Missoma’s best-selling jewellery, from the new mini version of the sell-out Baya hoops and the Interstellar anklet to the Molten cuff and brand new pearl-studded huggies. The calendar will also contain more minimalist designs such as the gold twisted choker and prism studs, perfect for those who prefer understated jewellery.
In addition to jewellery, the boxes will also contain a hair slide, a keyring and a pack of playing cards - a nice touch given that we might well be spending more time inside this Christmas than normal.
Missoma's advent calendar, priced at £395, launches on 21st October at missoma.com.
