Now that the UK is back in Lockdown, all restaurants have put a stop to eating in, and a number of fast food places have even sadly stopped all takeaway options, including McDonald's.
Although some fast food places have delivery options, it’s still not as easy to get hold of our favourite fast food treats as it has been in the past. So we’ve taken to making them at home, thanks to recipes we’ve found all over the world wide web (God, I sound 100 years old…).
Today’s recipe is homemade McDonald’s Chicken Nuggets!
Homemade McDonald’s Chicken Nuggets ingredients
Firstly, you need to blend your chicken in a food processor with salt and pepper.
Now’s the fun bit: time to shape the nuggets into McDonald’s signature nugget shapes. You’ve got your boot, your bell, your ball and your bone. Or you can make them any shape you like, really. Freeze for two hours.
Mix the dry mix: flour, corn flour, onion powder, garlic powder and salt and pepper.
Mix the wet mix: eggs, water, corn flour and salt and pepper.
Dip the nuggets in the dry mix, then the wet mix, then the dry mix again.
Time to fry those bad boys now. So, get some oil in your pan and make sure it’s hot enough before you carefully place the nuggets in. You may have to just do a few at a time as you don’t want them sticking together, now do you?
And that’s it. You can find the full recipe with ingredient amounts on Joshuah’s Instagram.
All you have to do now is decide what sauce to dip your nuggets in.
