A Russian woman with 1.6 million Instagram followers has claimed she’s beat a rare lung disease.

Miroslava Duma, 34, shared a heartfelt letter with her social media followers revealing the illness she battled earlier this year.

The influencer, who is married to entrepreneur Aleksey Mikheev with whom she has three children, said was given just seven months to live following diagnosis.

Duma shared a picture of herself with her Instagram followers, together with open essay detailing what she had been through.

“It was crazy scary then, but looking back, I realise that the past few months of recovery were possibly the happiest months of my entire life.”

Further down in the post, Duma added: “Success to me today [...] is measured by how I choose to contribute to the world.”

It would appear Duma is now in recovery, with her writing in the post that she has been given a “chance to live”.

Friends and followers responded praising her “powerful” words.

“Beautiful and powerful words my dear Mira,” was one comment, while another person wrote, “Wow - what a story. Thank you for sharing.”

“You are my idol. True inspiration. As fashion icon and as a person. Love and hugs,” read another.

A representative for Duma has not yet responded to Yahoo UK’s request for comment.

Her renewed love for life is apparent from her adventures in recent months, shared on Instagram. Her travels have included trips to Japan; Kazakhstan; the United Kingdom; Italy; and Switzerland, to name but a few places.

Just over a month ago. Duma made a pilgrimage to the Monasteries of Meteora in central Greece, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with her family.

She also visited Capri earlier this year, revealing in a picture caption she had made “a list of things i need to see while I’m still alive”.

She has also given “given back” by investing in Reformation, a sustainable fashion brand, and promoting sustainability through her own company, Future Tech Lab.
