Miriam Margoyles has claimed Arnold Schwarzenegger "farted in (her) face" while filming 1999 movie End of Days.

The outspoken actress, who is well-known for her no-holds-barred TV interviews, was asked who her least favourite co-star was during an appearance on news.com.au's I've Got News for You podcast and she shared the gassy anecdote.

"Schwarzenegger, didn't care for him. He's a bit too full of himself," she replied. "He was actually quite rude. He farted in my face. Now, I fart, of course I do, but I don't fart in people's faces. He did it deliberately, right in my face."

The supernatural horror film starred Schwarzenegger as Jericho Cane, an ex-cop who must stop Satan from claiming Christine York, played by Robin Tunney, as his bride.

Margoyles played Satan's sister Mabel and one scene involves her in a fight with Cane.

The Harry Potter actress claimed Schwarzenegger passed wind when they were taking a quick break while making that scene in Los Angeles, and she still hasn't forgiven him for his alleged gassy moment more than 20 years later.

"I was playing Satan's sister and (his character) was killing me, so he had me in a position where I couldn't escape, lying on the floor. And he just farted," she recalled. "It wasn't on film, it was in one of the pauses, but I haven't forgiven him for it."
