Mindy Kaling is feeling "really confident" in her body shape as she gears up to launch her debut swimwear collection.

On Wednesday, the actress/producer announced that she has teamed up with designers at swimwear brand Andie on a size-inclusive 33-piece collection.

In an interview for People, Mindy was asked to share her thoughts on how her relationship with body image has changed over the years.

"I'm feeling really confident in my body these days, which is not something that I've been able to say for my whole life, unfortunately," she said. "I really do love the ease with which I can get dressed in the morning. It doesn't take me a long time to get ready, which I love. And I feel great."

The Mindy Project star also addressed her changing physique amid her commitment to a new workout regime.

"I know people are really interested in the changes in my body, and I think it's flattering but sometimes it's just a little much, so I try not to tune into it. The truth is that I spend so much time and energy trying to be healthy," the 43-year-old added. "I run or hike 20 miles a week and I lift weights. It's a big commitment for me. I basically live in workout clothes so I can get it in."

The Mindy x Andie collection, priced from $52 - $128 (£41 - £100), is now available to purchase from the brand's website.
