Mindy Kaling breaks out of comfort zone with 'winter white' outfit
Mindy Kaling has broken out of her "comfort zone" by wearing a "winter white" outfit.
Over the weekend, the actress/producer stepped out in a white strapless minidress, sheer tights, and Giuseppe Zanotti black platform heels.
Mindy completed the ensemble with an off-white silk blazer from Magda Butrym.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, The Mindy Project star shared how thrilled she was with the final look.
"I never wear winter white!" she exclaimed. "I was always so worried about it not being flattering and also about dropping food on it. Last night @mollyddickson took me out of my comfort zone with this amazing satin blazer and strapless mini by @magdabutrym I loved it!"
And while wearing white outfits to dinner events can be risky, Mindy insisted that she needn't have worried.
"No red wine stains anywhere! Here's to trying more new fashion risks this year!" the 43-year-old added.
In response to the post, a number of Mindy's celebrity fans were quick to praise her for experimenting with fashion.
"WOW WOW WOW WOW," wrote Olivia Munn, while Christine Quinn gushed: "Ok never seen you in white but I love! White is definitely your new yellow!"
