Millennial Pink Has Conquered New York Fashion Week

From ELLE UK

Millennial Pink is a color. Millennial Pink is a movement. And now, Millennial Pink is a major New York Fashion Week trend.

The dusky shade of postmodern girlhood represents a smart, sly kind of feminine mystique―pretty, but with better things to do. It's been embraced and analyzed by pop queens like Rihanna, CEOs like Emily Weiss, and our own Veronique Hyland. And it looks great on every skin tone, with a bare face or a bold lip or glitter lids-or why not both? With both street cred and practical appeal, it's logical for designers to keep puffing and passing the shade down the line.

First up: Mansur Gavriel, whose show was see now / want now / buy now if you're lucky. Against a desert pink backdrop, no fewer than 12 pieces of powder pink came out to play, including knitwear, coats, bags, and shoes. (Shoes!) Another dozen Millennial Pink items are available on their website, though they're quickly selling out.

But the shade didn't just hit one dreamy show. It's tinted catwalks this entire week, and we're only halfway through.
