The couple first met almost a decade ago on the set of film The Last Song and the A-list pair got engaged in 2012 before calling it quits a year later.
The acting duo rekindled their relationship in 2015 and it was later announced that they were once again engaged.
On their breakup, the singer said: "(I) needed to change so much. And changing with someone else not changing like that is too hard. Suddenly you're like, 'I don't recognise you anymore.' We had to re-fall for each other."
