Miley Cyrus just posted a natural bedtime selfie, without mullet
As much as I stan the rock aesthetic that Miley Cyrus is currently sporting, from her intensely grunge makeup looks, to the vinyl trousers, chunky chains and mullet (that she recently cut even shorter), there's just one downside...
Does anyone else feel *so* uncool in comparison?
Like, I know Miley also has downtime, and that it's unrealistic to believe she looks like a glam-rock Stevie Nicks support act who's just rolled out of the 1980s, 24/7...
...but as I sit here, bra-less (but not in an edgy way) and desperately mullet-less due to closed hair salons, I can't help but feel a little bit...inadequate.
Then again, Miley's just done us all a favour with her latest Insta Stories post, coming through with the kind of validation I needed this morning.
In the picture, she can be seen with her iconique blonde mullet - but this time it's tied into the classic face-cleansing topknot that we all know and love.
And, although I could stare at Miley's high-drama makeup looks literally all day, I'm also relieved to see her real face for once. Not because one vibe is better than the other, but simply because I feel less lazy for being unable to even bother with concealer on some days (anyone else?).
She's posing in the mirror, wearing cute cherry-print shorts and a faded tee (somehow still making mismatched pyjamas look achingly cool, but we'll let her off), with the caption "It's been lovely but I have to scream now."
Disclaimer: it's difficult to determine what she's referring to in her caption (she posted the shot after a teaser for of her Tiny Desk concert).
But Miley, if the plan includes screaming into a pillow due to intense lockdown monotony, rest assured I'll be there too.
