Miley Cyrus denies cheating on Liam Hemsworth

• Miley Cyrus has denied infidelity was the reason behind her split from Liam Hemsworth, taking to Twitter to shut down rumours of cheating.

• The singer and actor announced their split after 10 years together this month, with a rep for Miley confirming it was "what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers."

Miley Cyrus has spoken out about her split from Liam Hemsworth, vehemently denying cheating was the reason behind their split.

On August 11 2019, multiple hearts around the world shattered when a rep for Miley released a statement (via People) to announce the couple, who had been together for 10 years, were breaking up. It read:

"Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy."

Since, both Miley and Liam have spoken out about the split, with Miley explaining that "change is inevitable", and Liam asking for privacy at this time.

Now, after being hit with rumours about alleged infidelity being the reason for their split, Miley has taken to Twitter to shut down any claims that she cheated on Liam.

In a thread, she wrote,

"I can accept that the life I’ve chosen means I must live completely open and transparent with my fans who I love, and the public, 100% of the time. What I cannot accept is being told I’m lying to cover up a crime I haven’t committed. I have nothing to hide.

"I f**ked up and cheated in relationships when I was young. I got kicked off hotel Transylvania for buying Liam a penis cake for his birthday and licking it. I swung on a wrecking ball naked. There are probably more nudes of me on the internet than maybe any woman in history.

"But the truth is, once Liam & I reconciled,I meant it, & I was committed. There are NO secrets to uncover here. I’ve learned from every experience in my life. I’m not perfect, I don’t want to be, it’s boring. I’ve grown up in front of you, but the bottom line is, I HAVE GROWN UP.

"I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating. Liam and I have been together for a decade. I’ve said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will.

BUT at this point I had to make a healthy decision for myself to leave a previous life behind. I am the healthiest and happiest I have been in a long time. You can say I'm a twerking, foul mouthed hillbilly but I am not a liar.

"I am proud to say, I am simply in a different place from where i was when I was a younger."

Kudos to Miley for setting the record straight.

Currently, Liam hasn't responded to the cheating allegations or Miley's Twitter thread, instead letting his Instagram post from August 13 do the talking. In it, he wrote, "Hi all / Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward. This is a private matter and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false. Peace and Love."
