Since the initial outbreak of coronavirus back in mid March, the country (along with the rest of the world) has had to adapt and make a lot of changes.

One of the precautionary measures put in place to stop spread COVID-19 was a wedding ban which, according to the BBC has affected over 73,600 weddings, including the royals.

First, it was Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi who had to postpone their plans. Now, James Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge's brother has been forced to push his wedding to fiance Alizee Thevenet back on two occasions.

The ceremony was originally planned to take place back in July, but was then rescheduled to later on that same summer. However, sadly James and Alizee have had to postpone it once again due to another rise in the cases of coronavirus.

Understandably gutted, James shared a heartfelt Instagram post of the pair enjoying their holiday in Italy, captioning the series of photos and videos: "It’s a year since I asked Alizee to marry me 💍 … what a year it’s been! Two homes 🏡 lockdown 🔐 two attempts at a wedding🤵👰❌, a litter of 🐶, launching of new company @ella.co 🐾 a beard shave 🪒 and much more but the best part is that I get to share it with you @alizeethevenet and I can’t wait to take on whatever the future holds for us ✨
.
We managed to escape to Italy ⛵️for a quick dip in the the sea, lots of 🍝&🍷 and now ready to face the world again- thank you @theclassicyachtexperience for the most unforgettable experience ⛵️❤️"

Speaking to the Daily Mail, as source said that it was "Very sad, but not practical to hold it in this crisis."

We really hope that everything can go ahead for them next year as planned.
