We've always been envious of Michelle Yeoh's long glossy locks (which always seem to fall effortlessly in place), but even a star with such a classic look can sometimes fancy changing things up.

However, as anyone who has ever taken a hair of scissors to their hair only to regret it later will know, trying a new look is a somewhat semi-permanent decision which doesn't always have predictable results.

That's where Michelle's clever styling trick comes into play, as the star modelled what appeared to be a chic new fringe on Good Morning Britain. The fringe framed her face perfectly thanks to the soft cut, which allowed it to be subtly swept to one side rather than having a blunter edge which can be a little more severe.

While it may appear that Michelle has opted for a chop, we think we've spied that it is actually a clip-in fringe - a clever trick Michelle has relied on before.

At the Golden Globes back on 5 January for instance, Michelle also modelled a similar fringe on the red carpet. However, just two days later on 7 January, she was back to her usual long locks and side parting.

As Michelle proves, a clip-in fringe could be the perfect way to swap up your hair style (or to test it out before going for the chop!) without the risk of regret, as it's instantly reversible.

They key to making it work so well however, is ensuring the colour matches perfectly (take notes from Michelle), so that the strands blend into your own hair for a truly seamless look.
