On Tuesday, the Olympic swimmer and his wife Nicole shared a joint post on Instagram featuring a photo of the couple's three sons — Boomer, 7, Beckett, 5, and Maverick, 3 — holding their new baby brother, Nico.
"✨2 weeks in as a family of 6 and we couldn’t be happier✨ someone called Nico the family baby and it’s 100% true," the couple wrote in their caption.
"The boys can’t get enough of their newest brother and want nothing more than to love on him, care for him (and mama) and just be near."

"I wasn’t sure what life would be like with a newbie and one more babe…. it’s like a puzzle piece we didn’t know was missing ," they concluded their post.
"@mrs.nicolephelps and I wanna welcome Nico Michael Phelps to the world. Born on 1/16," Phelps captioned the post, which included a picture of the couple with Nico in Phelps' arms.
"We’re so blessed to be given a 4th child," the caption continued. "We’re now a family of 6! 😁😁🤪😂."
The parents of four boys announced on Instagram that their family was growing yet again in an anniversary post shared in January.
The pair — who have been married since 2016 — posed for a photo at a recent NFL game where Johnson put her baby bump on display.
The mom of four shared the Instagram post to celebrate the couple's new addition, as well as her seventh anniversary with the Olympic champion swimmer.
"For those that are wondering… yes! we’re expecting our 4th Phelps in 2024 💙💙💙💙," Johnson wrote alongside the carousel of images.
