At one stage, Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon A Time In Hollywood looked so ludicrously stacked with big names it was more like the roll call you'd get on a Christmas charity single. Leo DiCaprio! Brad Pitt! Margot Robbie! Al Pacino! Kurt Russell! Timothy Olyphant! Michael Madsen! Tim Roth! Bono! Olly Murs! Emeli Sandé!

Unfortunately for some though, there wasn't enough room in this Band Aid Unchained line-up. According to Indiewire, Madsen and Roth didn't make the final edit at all, despite having been lucky charms for Tarantino before now: Madsen appeared in Reservoir Dogs, both volumes of Kill Bill and The Hateful Eight, while Roth was in Four Rooms and Pulp Fiction as well as joining Madsen in Reservoir Dogs and The Hateful Eight.

It wasn't just them either. There was no room in the 165 minutes of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood for Westworld's James Marsden or Danny Strong from Gilmore Girls, and James Remar, who appeared in Django Unchained, was similarly cut out completely. That's a tough break. Maybe they should set up a support group.

What happens if Once Upon A Time In Hollywood ends up sweeping the boards at awards season? Do Madsen, Roth and the gang get to go up on stage and pull David Mays in the background? Or are film awards more like league titles in that you've got to have appeared 10 times in a season before you can qualify for a medal? No idea.
