Michael J. Fox makes rare public outing with wife Tracy ahead of movie documenting battle with Parkinson's
Michael J. Fox has maintained a relatively low profile ever since he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, retiring from acting soon after.
While he has made appearances for the sake of increasing awareness of the disease, the actor's limited outings make each one feel even more special.
Michael was spotted courtside on Friday beside his wife Tracy Pollan, tennis player John McEnroe, and rapper J. Cole at a basketball game.
The group watched as the New York Knicks defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 99-79 during the Eastern Conference playoffs at Madison Square Garden.
The Back to the Future star could be seen enthusiastically taking in the game with Tracy watching intently by his side.

The outing was a fun departure for the 61-year-old, who is busy with the lead-up to the release of the Apple TV+ documentary on his life, STILL: A Michael J. Fox Movie.
Releasing on May 12, the film "incorporates documentary, archival and scripted elements" to tell the actor's story, from his highs on shows like Family Ties to his eventual Parkinson's diagnosis and retirement from acting.
The official synopsis for the movie reads: "The account of Fox's public life, full of nostalgic thrills and cinematic gloss, unspools alongside his never-before-seen private journey, including the years that followed his diagnosis, at twenty-nine, with Parkinson's disease.
"Intimate and honest, and produced with unprecedented access to Fox and his family, the film chronicles Fox's personal and professional triumphs and travails, and explores what happens when an incurable optimist confronts an incurable disease."

A teaser trailer for the documentary was released earlier in the month, featuring a raw moment when Michael described how he told his wife of nearly 35 years about his disease.
The actor was diagnosed with the neurological disorder when he was just 29 years old, less than two years after marrying Tracy, who he struck a relationship with on the set of Family Ties in the 1980s. Tracy played girlfriend Ellen to his protagonist Alex P. Keaton.
"I told Tracy the news. 'In sickness and in health' I remember her whispering," he shared. "No one outside of my family knew."
