Blake Lively has yet again proved that she is the Queen of the Met Gala as she wowed the public with yet another stunning gown at the 2022 event.

But fans have also noticed that the star tends to go the extra mile when it comes to fitting the theme, which this year was Gilded Glamour. Not only that, she also seems to have matched her dress to the carpet - and it looks like she’s been doing it for years.

Blake certainly turned heads with her Statue of Liberty-inspired get up, which she transformed into a completely different dress once she got up the famous Met steps.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight about her dress on the night, she said, "I looked at New York City architecture for this event, and I loved the copper patinas. I asked Versace if we could do it and they said, 'Oh god, OK, let's try!' And we did." Designed by Versace, the dress started off a glistening copper colour but once Blake undid a bow on her waist she wowed the other guests by revealing a light blue train.

She’s clearly thought this through as the carpet was made up of those exact colours, so surely this has to be on purpose? And this isn’t the only time she’s blended perfectly into the carpet.

Back in 2016 Blake opted for a pale pink Burberry strapless dress with red details, and guess what colour the carpet was that year - red and pale pink.

She did the same in 2017, wearing Versace she went for full glamour dressed head to toe in gold and cobalt blue - and yes, the carpet was blue.

2018 had to be one of her most iconic looks as she channelled princess-vibes in a gold, cream and burgundy dress which apparently took 600 hours to make.

Of course, as usual she matched that year’s theme as well as the carpet. Tell us your secret, Blake!
