Half the battle of choosing a prom dress is settling on a colour to wear - but maybe not for long. Miami-based designer Adonis West may have stumbled on the ultimate cure for dress indecision by adding a super cool feature to his latest custom gown: reversible sequins. The dress is white, until you run your hand against the grain, revealing the underside of the sequins and turning the dress gold.

Check out the designer's 17-year-old sister, Shirdkiya Myrick, demonstrating the dress below. She's wearing it to prom this year!

The dramatic gown features a high collar, keyhole cut-out, and mermaid skirt. So gorgeous.

"I was just thinking about a girl who wanted to walk in one way but come out another way," Adonis told Seventeen.com of his inspiration for the design. "So the reversible sequins were perfect."

The dress isn't for sale, but if it were, it would cost about $800, Adonis said.

The colour-morphing creation started going viral when The Shade Room featured it on Instagram this past weekend.

And unlike The Dress (you know which one I'm talking about), there's no room whatsoever for debate here: This dress is white and gold, fam.
