It’s time to put your money where your mouth is, guys, because you can now actually pay to experience the pain of childbirth.

Yes, the age-old debate of ‘what hurts more’ between labour and getting kicked in the testicles might finally get resolved.

Thanks to the wonders of modern science, cis-gender men are now able to experience some of the excruciating pain of labour: medical clinic Ultrasound Baby Face has been working on a simulator which demonstrates just a fraction of what real contractions feel like.

The Bristol-based clinic is charging to hook unlucky experimentees up to its transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulator machine and send them short shocks throughout a 30 minute experiment.

A female spokesman for the company told Metro UK: “It’s a chance for the man to show to his partner that he is there for them and to help them experience a little bit of what their partner is going through.

“I’ve given birth and while our machine is not as painful as contraction it will hopefully give the man an insight into what the woman is going through.”

Men can also ramp their experience up a gear by donning a fake baby bump and completing typical ‘mum’ tasks like picking up toys and climbing over hurdles.

The experiment takes place at The Galleries Shopping Centre in Bristol and costs £25.

Who’s up first, lads?
