After only three months as First Lady, Melania Trump’s style is already being replicated by other powerful women across the globe.

A number of European royals have been seen in tailored Melania-esque looks since Donald Trump’s inauguration in January.

The First Lady’s inauguration day outfit, in particular, has been copied by Belgian and Danish royal figures. A similar version of Melania’s light blue Ralph Lauren coat was recently seen on Queen Mathilde of Belgium while Crown Princess Mary of Denmark has been spotted in the same shade.

“It appears that many European royals are finding comfort in Melania’s fashion taste as it oozes traditional glamour in a tasteful way,” stylist Natalie Robertson told the Daily Mail.

Melania’s love of sophisticated designs in bold hues has transformed the wardrobes of some royals. Queen Mathilde is known for playing it safe when it comes to black tie events but for The Black Diamond event, the royal opted for a vibrant red sequinned gown.

Coincidentally, red has become Melania’s signature colour. She has worn it on numerous occasions and in various styles. A scarlet caped dress by Givenchy was the First Lady’s first foray into the shade with a Valentino dress and custom Alice Roi coat following shortly after.

Queen Letizia of Spain too has been venturing into red ensembles, choosing a Melania-like tailored coat for a work outing at the end of March.

Melania is also a fan of stark white looks; something that has popped up on Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden in recent weeks. She wore an almost identical coat to Melania’s The Row design that was donned on International Women’s Day.

Just like the Duchess of Cambridge, it seems Melania may well be on her way to a sell-out effect. We will watch and wait.
