Mel B may have worn bespoke Victoria Beckham for her investiture at Buckingham Palace, but she was naked underneath the fitted, red dress.

The Spice Girl has cheekily revealed she wasn't wearing any knickers when she received her MBE from Prince William.

Mel B - real name Melanie Brown – had previously said that she has asked Beckham to design her a bespoke dress for her big day at the palace – and the designer duly delivered.

But she couldn't resist sharing later that she was 'stark, b****ck naked' underneath her figure-hugging outfit.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: 'Victoria asked me, "Will you wear nipple covers?" I said, "Why bother?".

The singer, 46, was accompanied by her mum Andrea Brown, who also wore Victoria Beckham clothing.

Following protocol to the letter, she curtsied in front of the duke before he presented her with her honour for her work with vulnerable women and victims of domestic violence.

The singer also revealed that Prince William had enquired about a Spice Girls reunion.

She said: 'And he asked, "Will you get the Spice Girls back together?" I told him I was having dinner with Victoria that evening and he said, "Oh good, I’ll work on David then".'

Proud pal VB was the first to congratulate her fellow Spice Girl on her royal honour as the air went out for a celebratory dinner with their mums.

Beckham shared a picture on her Instagram story of all four women with the caption: "A special night celebrating @officialmelb! @womensaid @jackieadams_ (We're all wearing VB!)"

The Woman's Aid patron dedicated her MBE to other people who suffered in abusive relationships.

Speaking to The Sun about learning she had received the honour, Brown said: "I thought about all the women I've met over the past few years who have been through terrible situations, women who have died, women who are still suffering. This, for me, was all about them. It still is.'

She continued: "Receiving that letter telling me about the MBE... it was the first time I thought that I'd done something.

"Not as a Spice Girl, but as Melanie Brown – this working-class, mixed-race kid from Leeds who has always done her own thing, regardless."
