Meghan Markle's Misha Nonoo Wedding Guest Dress Reminds Us Of Her Engagement Photoshoot Gown

Days before their royal tour of South Africa, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have found themselves in Italy for close friend Misha Nonoo's wedding.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who are believed to have been set up by Nonoo, have managed to squeeze in the exciting celebrations in Rome, before setting off on their tour with son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor on Monday.

For the glamorous event, that also hosted Ivanka Trump, Karlie Kloss, Katy Perry and Princess Eugenie, the 38 year-old former Suits star wore a glorious Valentino gown in black - proving the hue can in fact be wedding appropriate.

The dress features sheer fabric, a wrap front and gold ruffles.

And whilst this particular dress is sold out, the Italian fashion house has very similar offerings for sale.

The dress was also reminiscent of the Ralph & Russo ensemble the philanthropist wore for her official engagement portraits which also featured gold embroidery on black, sheer material.

Despite the couple's busy schedule, Nonoo's wedding to energy entrepreneur Michael Hess, who accompanied the fashion designer to the couple’s royal wedding in May 2018, was a must for the couple.

Markle has been friends with the blonde fashion mogul for years, recently collaborating with her for her Smart Works collection.

Nonoo recently spoke for the first time about her relationship with the Duchess, telling the New York Times that they met at an event in Miami eight years ago.

'We sat down and we started, actually, right from the get-go, talking about a shared passion for equality, women's empowerment and our love of dogs,' she recalled of the encounter.

Nonoo went on to credit Markle as being 'the most generous, the most genuine person.

'She's such a sister in the sense that, you know, if you're her friend she'll do anything for you.'

Including flying out to Rome before a gruelling work trip it seems. How sweet?
