Meghan Markle joined the Queen on Thursday in Cheshire for a full day of royal engagements.

The newly-wed Duchess of Sussex was all smiles as she stepped off the train with a very colourfully-clad Queen, wearing a more muted dress with her shoulders fully covered.

As is as become her signature style, Meghan kept the look pretty paired back and simple, opting for a colour palette we have seen at two of her more recent royal engagements.

While people dragged Meghan at the Trooping for showing her shoulders, and complained at the garden party that she was wearing the wrong colour tights, it seems Meghan has taken the criticism on board with her latest look.

Maybe that's what taking a train for two hours with the Queen will do to you?

Her dress, was made for her by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy, the same designer who made her stunning royal wedding gown.

Pre-Royal-Wedding, Meghan was mostly snapped in black and navy, with the occasional splash of bottle green, but now she's a Duchess, the former actress is opting for a bit of a lighter colour palette.

Her pencil, dress in a very pale pink/cream colour looked gorgeous paired with a simple black belt and matching black pumps.

The whole vibe of the look reminds us of the sheer look she wore to Prince Charles' birthday garden party, and her favoured silhouette that we also saw at last week's Trooping the Colour.
