Meghan Markle And Serena Williams Reunite For Dinner In NYC
Meghan Markle and Serena Williams reunited in New York last night for a dinner with the royal's friend, Markus Anderson, at the swanky Polo Bar, Ralph Lauren's restaurant.
The Duchess of Sussex has been staying in the Big Apple since Friday, and reportedly hosted a baby shower yesterday at The Mark Hotel in Manhattan's Upper East Side.
But before jetting back to London, Meghan made some time to meet up with her longtime pal Serena Williams.
The duchess was seen wearing a double-breasted navy Victoria Beckham double-breasted coat with a Stella McCartney tote bag, black scarf, dark skinny jeans, and calf-length black Tamara Mellon boots.
Meanwhile, Williams was seen sporting an ensemble of black leggings, a black sweater and a black coat with tartan stripes running down the sleeves.
Williams and Markle reportedly first met in 2010 during the Super Bowl in Miami and later competed at the DirectTV Celebrity Beach Bowl together in 2014.
The two remained so close that Williams was invited to Meghan's royal wedding to Prince Harry last spring, and even after the former Suits star married into the royal family, their friendship has remained steadfast.
Williams, who has a one-year-old daughter with husband and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, has imparted some pearls of wisdom to the expectant mum, saying of motherhood that: 'It will come'.
Meanwhile Prince Harry has been visiting kids at a youth centre in London, as part of his Fit and Fed campaign to tackle the holiday gap of hunger, inactivity and isolation.
