Chrissy Teigen has praised Meghan Markle for reaching out to her after the death of her son Jack last October.

The model appeared on the US programme Watch What Happens Live! after-show, where she was asked about the pair’s interactions.

Chrissy said, ‘She's been so kind to me ever since we connected. She had written to me about baby Jack. But yeah, she is really wonderful and so kind – just as kind as everyone says she is.’

Chrissy, 35, who is married to singer John Legend, continued, ‘That's why you look at everything and you're like, 'My God, what is absolutely wrong with people that they have to make this person out to be so malicious or so crazy?' when it's just as simple as them being as kind as everyone says they are.’

The model, who is mum to Luna, five and Miles, two also revealed she spoke to Meghan following her controversial tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, alongside Prince Harry.

Chrissy said, ‘I think when I ended up watching it, it was like 'Holy xxxx this is big. But also, I waited a long time to watch it, so I'd already heard so much about it.’

Host Andy Cohen then asked if Meghan had revealed further information on the phone to Chrissy, who replied, ‘No. I think she's been very honest and open. I think her truth has been her truth since the very beginning.’

This isn't the first time model Chrissy has publicly stuck up for Meghan. In November 2021, Chrissy defended Meghan on Twitter after a backlash around Meghan's essay about her miscarriage for The New York Times.

Meghan, 39, is currently pregnant with her second child – a daughter. The new arrival will be a baby sister for the couple's son, Archie, who celebrates his second birthday on the 6th May.
