Yesterday Meghan Markle attended the opening ceremony for the One Young World summit in Manchester alongside Prince Harry, after arriving in the UK for a series of charity-related appearances. For the event she wore a bright red pantsuit from sustainable lable Another Tomorrow with her hair styled in a chic dual textured ponytail.
With a precise centre parting, the look was super sleek at the front and around her crown, while the long lengths of her hair were styled with wavy texture.
It’s not the first time she’s nailed the power ponytail, in fact she’s become our poster girl for the look. At the the UN General Assembly in July she wore her hair in a similar style, albeit it even sleeker; styled straight and shiny throughout the lengths as well as the top.
In April this year at an Invictus Games challenge Meghan showcased another tight ponytail – again positioned in line with her eyes (a flattering placement that’s neither high nor low), with the lengths crafted in smooth loose waves.
These looks are notably different to the ‘messy bun’ Meghan became synonymous with back in 2018 when she was being welcomed into the royal family. Choosing to wear her hair in an intentionally relaxed style, it was just one of the ways she infused modernity into a family anchored in tradition.
Her new signature style is just as elegant, though has some very grownup glamour to it. Perfect for wearing with new season's higher necklines, we're channelling it for autumn.
