Meghan Markle meets Queen Elizabeth for palace tea in her 'private sitting room': Report

Tea with the Queen? Don't mind if we do!

Prince Harry's girlfriend (and rumored fiance) Meghan Markle was recently privy to an afternoon most could never even dream of: She and her beau secretly met Queen Elizabeth for tea in Buckingham Palace's "private sitting room" for one very hush-hush hour.

The discreet meeting last Thursday hit the press a week later thanks to royals columnist Richard Kay, who said Harry "desperately wanted his grandmother" to meet Meghan.

It was an early evening affair around 5:00 PM, "the Queen's favorite part of the day," and she particularly likes when her grandchildren join her, the Daily Mail reported.

Meghan has now met just about every member of Prince Harry's family, leading many to speculate that the two may already be engaged. If not, the uptick in publicity indicates that an impending engagement is inevitable.

It's been more than six years since Harry's older brother, Prince William, wed longtime love Kate Middleton. The two had been together since college. In comparison, Harry's romance seems relatively short -- they began dating in July 2016 -- but according to numerous insider reports, they just fell fast!
