Meghan Markle keeps it casual in pinstriped trousers for Lilibet's first birthday party
The Jubilee weekend saw the Duke and Duchess of Sussex return to the UK with their young children for the first time in a while. The couple – who brought along Archie and Lilibet – were in town to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, attending the Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral on Friday (3 June).
The Jubilee was not the only celebration on the agenda though, as the weekend also marked Lilibet's first birthday, an occasion which was commemorated with a party at Frogmore Cottage, the couple's former home.
Meghan and Harry hosted close friends and family for a very low-key first birthday party, which was complete with a picnic, face painting and cake. The guest list included friend Misan Harriman, who shared a number of pictures of the day, including one of the birthday girl smiling in the garden, as well as an image of his family with Meghan, who posed with her daughter.
"It was such a privilege to celebrate the 1st birthday of Lilibet with my family and hers," Harriman said of the pictures. "Joy and face painting all around."

In the image, Meghan can be seen looking relaxed and elegant in a pair of wide-legged, pinstripe, linen trousers, which she teamed with a long-sleeved T-shirt, while she wore her hair down and opted for minimal make-up.
The super casual look was perfect for the low-key occasion, in contrast to the ensemble she was seen in the day previously. For the service at St Paul's Cathedral, Meghan chose a striking Dior couture coat, which she teamed with a pair of matching heels and leather gloves, while she sported her hair in a neat bun which was concealed by her elegant disc shaped hat.
Happy first birthday, Lilibet!
